Why am I not able to use the front camera to take a photo of a skin spot?
SkinVision does not support the use of the front-facing camera whilst taking a photo of a skin spot with the SkinVision-App. This is because all photos assessed by our algorithm have to be taken within the app using the Smart Camera. Our algorithm can only analyse skin spots when the photo meets the right conditions. Because the quality of front cameras varies and conditions are most likely not met, our service requires that photos be taken with the back camera. This way, we can better safeguard the quality and accuracy of our service. Suppose a skin spot is in a position where it is difficult to reach yourself. In that case, we recommend asking another person (friend, family member) to take the photo for you. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to support@skinvision.com
